Start with the requirements of the room
Every door has a function: escape route, separation between fire compartments, sound barrier between offices or simply a passage. The function decides whether the door must be fire rated, sound insulating or both.
Durability in daily use
In a busy corridor doors take knocks from trolleys, bags and chairs. Solid or heavily built door leaves, strong frames and replaceable hardware last longer than light solutions.
The surface can be veneer, lacquer or paint, depending on how much wear the room gets.
Documentation and marking
Clients and consultants need papers that follow the project: data sheets, certifications and marking where required. Always ask which documentation comes with the door.
Adapting to the building
Older buildings rarely have standard dimensions. We produce doors in our own workshop, so height, width and expression can be adapted, even when a series must look alike across floors.
