Furniture

Phased delivery on building projects

A building project rarely has a single delivery date. Here is how to plan furniture in phases so nothing is in the way or gets damaged.

The site sets the rhythm

Furniture can only be installed once walls, floors and services are finished. If it arrives too early it can be in the way or get damaged. If it arrives too late it delays handover.

Split the delivery by room or floor

On larger projects it makes sense to deliver per floor, department or room type, so each part arrives when the room is ready. This suits custom production well, where each part is made to measure anyway.

Measure to finished surfaces

Measuring should take place once the walls are built, so the furniture fits exactly. For each phase production can start as soon as the dimensions are settled.

Agree a plan together

Agree the order, access, interim storage and installation dates from the start. Delivery time for a project is typically 8 to 16 weeks, and with a plan later phases can follow while the first are already being installed.

The advantage of in house production

Because we produce ourselves, we can spread production over several phases and adjust the order if the construction programme changes.
